Cesare Paciotti will make an appearance at his store to unveil his brand’s collaboration with Parsons School of Design. Kwame Brako who recently graduated from the school won a competition to design a shoe that will be sold as part of Cesare’s 2009 Fall Collection.

Take a look at Laurence Dacade’s Fall Collection. Laurence is a graduate of Paris’ AFPIC school for shoe design but got her start designing apparel. Ms. Dacade made a return to shoe design by
designing for Harel for four years, then going to Givenchy in 2001 and later designing shoes for Chanel. During her time at Givenchy Laurence decided to start her own eponymous label in 2002 which is now carried by fifty different luxury retailers worldwide. Ms. Dacade’s also designed footwear for Nina Ricci, Kenzo and Erin Fetherston’s 2009 Spring runway shows. In addition, to designing for her label Laurence also currently works on the Chanel footwear collection.

Tania Spinelli Fall’09

Styles from Tania Spinelli’s Fall Collection. Mrs. Spinelli received her B.S in Fashion Design from Philadelphia University and after graduating married Marcello Spinelli. Mr. Spinelli’s family designed and manufactured shoes for 45 years in Brazil which led to Tania’s exposure to shoe design. After moving back to the United States in 1998, Tania joined the r-t-w design team at Tommy Hilfiger and during her six years at the company became the Design Director for the label. February 2005 was the launch of Mrs. Spinelli’s eponymous collection and in April 2007 was commissioned to design Diane Von Furstenberg’s first footwear collection. Tania designed the Spring’08 and Fall’08 footwear collections but today focuses solely on her company.
